There’s something special about a city wedding that feels both effortlessly elegant and deeply personal, and Hannah and Caelon’s celebration at SRV in Boston was exactly that. On a drizzly June day, surrounded by seventy of their closest friends and family, they brought to life an intimate, joy-filled wedding that beautifully reflected who they are: grounded, genuine, and completely smitten with one another.

The day began at the Fairmont Copley Plaza, where the couple got ready in the heart of the city. The timing couldn’t have been more quintessentially Boston – it happened to be the day of the Pride Parade, and from their suite, they had the perfect perch to watch the rainbow-filled festivities below. The excitement in the city only added to the sense of celebration, and despite a bit of rain throughout the day, spirits remained high.

We worked closely with Hannah and Caelon to make sure the weather never stood in the way of their vision. With a few umbrellas, a flexible timeline, and a little strategic planning, they were still able to enjoy their outdoor first look and capture those iconic cityscape photos they’d been dreaming of.
When guests arrived at SRV, one of Boston’s beloved Italian restaurants, they were welcomed into a space that already radiates warmth and character. The couple chose a minimalist design approach, letting the restaurant’s architectural beauty take center stage. Down the length of the communal tables, delicate spring-hued florals added just the right touch of color and softness – subtle yet celebratory.
Their ceremony was emotional. With vows that brought tears to nearly every guest in the room, it was a reminder that the most powerful design element of any wedding is the love at the center of it.

Dinner was, of course, spectacular. SRV’s Italian-inspired menu delivered an experience guests won’t soon forget. Between heartfelt toasts, laughter, and clinking glasses, the evening flowed seamlessly from one special moment to the next. Each speech painted a picture of two people deeply loved by their families and community, and it was clear that everyone in the room felt honored to witness their story unfold.

And then came one of my favorite moments of the night: the cake cutting. As everyone gathered around, Caelon, ever the enthusiastic groom, couldn’t resist and took a huge bite straight out of the top of the cake before anyone could hand him a knife. Hannah’s reaction? A beaming smile and her own playful bite to match. It was pure joy, perfectly capturing their energy as a couple, fun, spontaneous, and completely in sync.
The evening closed out with an unforgettable dance party that filled the restaurant with laughter and movement. As guests departed, they were treated to a sweet (and very personal) parting favor: custom cookies shaped like the couple’s beloved dog. It was the perfect nod to their life together and a charming way to end the night.
From beginning to end, Hannah and Caelon’s wedding was proof that intimate doesn’t mean simple. With thoughtful design choices, heartfelt emotion, and a venue that spoke to their love of good food and great company, their day at SRV captured everything we love about city weddings: vibrant, full of life, and completely unique to them.
