The WIPA Boston 3rd Quarter Meeting brought together nearly 100 wedding professionals for a vibrant late-summer gathering at Provence Sur Mer in Newport. A French-inspired coastal escape that feels effortlessly chic and endlessly charming. As the designated planner for this event, it was a joy to help bring the space to life and to welcome our community to such a stunning setting.

With a theme of “Summer of Love,” we embraced the full spirit of the 60s, from the color palette to the playful details woven throughout the event. The décor leaned into bold, joyful hues and a groovy, sun-kissed energy that made the entire evening feel celebratory. The outdoor patio was transformed by Exquisite Events Decor into an immersive scene, complete with cabana structures wrapped in custom draping, curated lounge vignettes, and a lilac-colored bar that quickly became a guest favorite. Bursts of vibrant florals by Stoneblossom Floral added rich texture and movement, while whimsical signage by Something Borrowed Event Decor tied the theme together with a boho bow. Everywhere you looked, there was color, creativity, and that unmistakable feeling of late-summer magic, everyone could feel the love in the air.
Guests enjoyed a seamless flow between the indoor and outdoor spaces, enjoying passed hors d’oeuvres and tasting plates by Capers Catering while mingling, networking, and reconnecting. Even the drinks embraced the theme, with cleverly named cocktails like the Dirty Hippie and the Flower Power Martini setting the tone for a fun-forward (yet still refined) experience. Throughout the evening guests were serenaded by the musical stylings from Entertainment Specialists, featuring a talented acoustic guitarist and vocalist. This audible touch added an inviting soundtrack that carried the energy from daylight into dusk.

A key highlight of the night was an engaging panel discussion led by industry experts who shared valuable insights on trends, challenges, and opportunities shaping the wedding and event industry today. The conversation sparked thoughtful dialogue among attendees and left everyone feeling inspired, connected, and aligned with the purpose of WIPA’s mission.
To wrap up the evening on a sweet note, Le Petit Pouf delighted guests with an array of seasonal cotton candy flavors served from their charming cart, a whimsical final touch that perfectly matched the tone of the event.

The night was a beautiful blend of community, creativity, and collaboration, everything we strive to champion through WIPA Boston. Being part of an organization that uplifts and educates our industry is incredibly meaningful, and events like this remind us just how powerful our collective passion can be.
